Happy New Year! I feel like 2016 went by too fast but I’m not mad. I’m looking forward to a brand new year with my family and friends. I know I have been away from the blog for a while but the holidays and having a brand new baby always gets the best of me. I’m excited for what the new year will bring and I have a few resolutions I’m trying to keep up with along the way.

With that being said, I wanted to round up my faves from last month.

Food
Bagels are my jam! It doesn’t help that I work right next door to a bagel shop and their bagels are the bomb so I went on a bagel eating spree during december ( I know lots of carbs but hey I’m loosing about 1,000 calories from breastfeeding, mama’s gotta eat)! So my partner suggested we should make our own bagels. We got this kit from Farm Steady. We haven’t tried it yet but hoping this will be good. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Beauty
This is the first time that I’ve ever experienced post partum hair loss. It is really crazy let me tell you! Besides clogging the tub (like all the time), I’m also experiencing dry scalp to top it off. So my friends over at Maple Holistic suggested I use their tea tree shampoo to help with the dry scalp. This shampoo smells so good and it immediately worked its magic on my scalp. It is also sulfate free and BPA free. Now that’s a plus! They also have other hair and skin care products on their site that I would like to try. Now I just have to figure out how to deal with that hair loss…any suggestions, let me know in the comments down below! Oh FYI, you can get free stuff from them here.

Fashion
It’s been freezing in Portland lately, that good winter accessories are a must! I have been rockin’ my Steven Alan beanie this whole time. It’s soooooo soft and it keeps my head so warm, I don’t even know what else to say besides I should’ve gotten another one.

Music
Bruno Mars, you’re the man! No need for explanation, his new album rocks!

Random
I am done with my teething baby. Done. I mean, besides the drooling and the biting down on my nut nur, I’m so over the grumpiness that comes with it too. I feel so bad for my little one, he is chewing on anything to make his gums feel better. Since we already use Tomo Como products for when I have to pump and use the bottle, we wanted to try their teething toy and let me tell you that company knows what they’re doing! The teether is designed to look like fingers but not long enough that they can choke. It’s also easy for my little guy to hold on to!

Have you tried any of what I’ve mentioned? Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!

UNTIL THE NEXT ONE,
MARCH
