Quick TIPS for a successful THRIFTING Session:

1. Just because it’s cheap, that doesn’t mean you have to buy it! It’s important to set a limit of how much you’re willing to spend. I usually just tell myself I will never spend over $20 when I’m thrifting.

2. When I go thrifting, I usually wear leggings and a tank underneath my clothes so that I can just try things on without having to wait forever when there are long lines in the fitting room. Some thrift stores don’t even have fitting rooms.

3. Gurl, pack some snacks and hand sanitizer. You don’t want to be hangry while shopping.

4. Check out your local thrift store’s sales and specials for the day! For example, my local salvation army in Portland has 50% off sale every Wednesday.

5. Super important, when you are feeling overwhelmed, take a break and inspect your selected items for stains, damages, and tears. The last thing you want is to be excited about something that you won’t be able to wear:(
