Beauty Products that actually work.

 In Lifestyle

I am the biggest risk taker when it comes to beauty items. I have to admit when I was in my 20s even in my early 30s, I could care less what I wipe on my face.

There’s no research with me, normally I would go to my favorite drugstore, pick one that’s on sale and call it good. I have been lucky enough and the product I bought worked, but most of the time, it just ends up being a waste. But hey with trial and error, I can finally say that I’ve succeeded and found some beauty products that actually work! These are the things that I’ve been using for a while and I’m happy to share them with the world! There’s a reason why I chose these products and I hope they could work for you as well.

The Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo – If you have dry, flaky, itchy scalp, this is the shampoo for you. I had it worst a few years ago. It got so bad that my scalp was so irritated and started to bleed from me scratching it. I tried every solution I’ve read online but nothing seemed to work. One night, in one of my delirious tired mode, I was laying in bed and just started to research for a solution. I came across a forum where they said to try the Ginger Scalp Shampoo from The Body Shop. It was the best online order I did that week and I’ve never gone back since. It definitely lived up the hype.

Since we are on the topic of scalp care, I also bought this scalp massager a few months back and I use it with the Ginger Shampoo when I wash my hair. It’s an extra step to clean out any build-up I might have on my scalp. It’s made out of silicone so it’s gentle.

Who would have thought that Trader Joe’s would have some great beauty products that actually work?

I go there to stock up on snacks but I was happy to see that they have some awesome skincare items that I ended up liking very much! My mission is to try thier other beauty products but as of the moment, I am loving two things from them: their Facial Cleansing Oil and the Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum. The cleansing oil is made with coconut and argan oil. It has a pleasant smell, not too strong but also is very hydrating after I wash my face. I have sensitive and dry skin so this works wonders for me.

The Moisture Boost does exactly what I need–lock in that moisture. It gets dry during the winters here in Portland especially when I have to wear my mask for 9 hours working. I use it before I put on my moisturizer. Both have a reasonable price so there’s no excuse not to try right?

This Botanics face cream was sent to me as a PR package and I loved it right away. It’s made with cannabis Sativa oil and very hydrating. The consistency is great. Not too thick but enough to really get into your pores. The smell is a bit strong at first when you open it, but I got used to it. I use it in the morning after I apply my Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum from Trader Joe’s. PS: it’s also not greasy!

There you have it! My top five that I constantly have been using for the past six months. Am I going to continue to try other products? Of course! But for now, these are the products my skin is happy with and to me that’s the most important. Have you tried any beauty products that you love? Leave a comment down below, would love to know!

UNTIL THE NEXT ONE,

MARCH
