It’s summer time and everyone is rocking’ their favorite sandals but sometimes, you gotta switch it up. Enter the other alternative: Espadrilles.

After all, the kings from Spain have been wearing them for more than 4,000 years ago. This light sandal, made with jute rope or braided hemp and with linen fabric made its way to France where priests and military soldiers wore them for work. Then in the 1960’s a very well known Parisian designer Mr. Yves Saint Laurent (whom we all love) asked for an espadrille with a heel which has never been done before! HUGE! Now, the espadrilles are still very popular in Spain and France during the summers. I love my pair my mama gave me and I found the most comfortable pair from Old Navy! You can wear them with dresses, jeans, or shorts! What would you wear with your espadrilles?
Shirt and Shorts: Nordstrom Rack
